Just upgraded a computer from a fresh install of Windows 7 to 10, and my ancient USB wireless adapter, a Rosewill RNX-G1 with the Realtek RTL8187 chipset, refused to work after the upgrade. The driver couldn't load, and in Device Manager it showed errorcode 31.So here is what fixed it for me: in Device Manager, completely uninstall the device, and check the box to let it delete the driver files.Reboot, and if Windows tries and fails to install the device itself, that's ok.Go back in Device Manager to install the proper driver, which is the topmost 1316(Beta) item on this webpage.
